btw, using swap magic to install freemcboot makes it a breeze.

freemcboot requires you to patch the game before you burn it for it to work

Free McBoot is an exploit and has nothing to do with launching games. ESR requires game images to be patched (iirc to trick the PS2 into thinking they're DVD videos rather than games).
