I don't want to go through the trouble of buying DVD9s, ripping and burning a huge game just to find out it doesn't work [IMG] Sorry if it's been asked, I had no luck with online searches

Also I gotta mention that Swap Magic 3.6 wouldn't play Space Channel 5-2 (I think it was a TOC issue) but with Free McBoot + ESR patching I was able to play it perfectly. Here's hoping the same holds true for DVD-9

Should work fine, you just have to run it through the toxic dual layer patcher before running it through the esr one. Then you just have to hope your ps2 is happy with a burnt dual layer as some of them can be fussy with them.

also, most games that are DVD-9 have been hacked and DVD-5 releases of them are out somewhere, in case you don't have a dual layer burner or DVDs...

Yeah I saw a DVD-5 of Xenosaga but it was the dubbed version, I prefer the JP one [IMG] Thanks for the input, guess I'll give it a go when I have some spare cash for the DL DVDs. If anyone has tested Xenosaga please let me know!

just make sure you set book type to DVD-ROM if you're using Toxic patcher
