Once QuakeCon at Home kicks off, there will be a number of free game and in-game loot giveaways over the course of the weekend. Check them out below:

• Get Quake for Free! – Throughout the weekend of QuakeCon, players can log in to the Bethesda Launcher and obtain a free digital copy of the original Quake. You must be logged into the Launcher with your Bethesda.net account credentials during QuakeCon weekend to receive the free game. If you’re already logged in, you may need to log out and log back in to see the game show as “owned.” (If you don’t see the game as “owned,” click “Check for Updates” under the Launcher menu.)
• Donate for Quake II – If donations reach the $10,000 mark, all players will have the opportunity to pick up a free digital copy of Quake II on the Bethesda launcher at a point to be announced soon after the event. I recommend that anyone who picks up Quake 1 runs it in a sourceport like QuakeSpasm. Just take the id1 folder from the Bethesda Launcher install and dump it inside of the QuakeSpasm directory. Make sure to turn texture filtering off as well.

i get this is a free games thread, but the epic games links are starting to get a bit boring.
Whenever i see a new post i think it's something good but i just see an epic games link, maybe there should be a seperate thread for epic giveaways
90% of the posts nowadays are just epic giveaways, and if you use EGS you already know what games are free anywway

While that's all true, they are the best giveaways out there.

I do not agree.
It is a free game thread, and possibly some people out there (yours truly included) comes over to this forum from a phone or other computer without EGS or other client, and the heads up is always nice.
Without EGS postings, the thread would be mostly barren, anyway.
