So upon looking around my house i found an O3DS and inspecting it further its version was 9.9.0-26U. Since i knew it was old enough to fool around with CIA's and future projects in the future, what hacks are compatible? If this has already been answered on a previous thread, please link me to it and get someone to close this one. Thank You.

You could try out browserhax if your web browser hasn't had the update nag yet.
Then as mentioned, you can downgrade to 9.2. Be sure to use SafeSysUpdater, as that's the most safest option. ;) okay, so apparently it's not...

Ah, also you will need the 9.2 CIA update pack from that ISO site. Be sure to get the O3DS packs and not the N3DS packs! People have made that mistake in the past!

From what I've read from people who posted their experiences it has a higher tendency to freeze/just be more wonky then the standard sysupdater would be, and just for your information I used the first "stable" memchunkhax2 build of sysupdater the day it was posted onto Github.

That may simply be because it does a lot more than the standard sysupdater, and with the unstable exploit, the longer sysupdater takes to complete, the higher the chances are it will freeze.
I would guess that the chances of it actually freezing during the installation are lower though because it's more likely to freeze early on in the process (while it's verifying the CIA files) so it isn't necessarily less safe.

Even taking that into account it still seems to be more wonky then the standard version.

I can't think of any good reasons why that would be the case. It hasn't been changed that much from the regular sysupdater, it's just a few additional checks. And those additional checks are pretty important, I would not want to risk downgrading without them.
I see some people run safesysupdater first to verify the files, then use the regular sysupdater to downgrade, that might be the best course of action. Even if you know you have the right files they could become corrupted.

At that point there should just be a dedicated upgrade package verifyer application that would be used before running and downgrading with sysupdater.

Yeah it's called checking md5 hashes. It's stupid easy there isn't a point just to make another application just for it (however some copy utilities can do this automatically).
Do you know the hashes for all the update files though? Someone went through the trouble of hashing every file in order to make safesysupdater, but I haven't seen a .csv file anywhere to make it easy to check the hashes yourself.

how do you just find an o3ds lying around your house?

If you didn't put internet on it yet, you might not have the nag. Before going online, make sure you add the tubehax dns, or you're gonna get the browser pop up of doom! Which means no browser hax, which means you'll need Cubic Ninja, oot, or a Sky3ds.

lol forgeting about something he paid like 150$, he must be rich :P
You are not the first person to accuse me of that to be perfectly honest. Its just a really old 3ds we kinda forgot about, so ive taken the liberty and wanted to homebrew it like my other 3DS.
