I still say this is all garbage XD I'm using all forwarders compiled with Fix's v14 source on both Wii and (v)Wii with no problems at all. No special anything required.

Edit: Any of the v14 forwarders that I compiled with waninko work on both wii and vwii. However, anything that REQUIRES a comex build (Wii64, WiiSX, Wiituka, o2em) will need to be patched with Fix's method, and the patched version will only work on vwii (at the moment). I have a set of pre-compiled v14 dol's along with notes available here if anyone is interested.

i´ve a request :-)
is it possible to create a forwarder for the psx emulator "WiiSX" ?
location: apps\wiiSX

New WiiSX Channel forwarder for vWii ! Thanks to the original author for original file !

Tested and working with boot.dol and boot.elf in:
SD :\apps\wiisx
SD :\apps\wiiSX

The emulator dol should be v2.1 but a mod version; I read there are problems with original wiiSX version and forwarders.

Tell me if it works for you and I will add it to the 1st page (I do not have IOS or other PSX stuff to test).

WiiSX requires a patch in order to play nice with forwarders. If it's patched, it should work, if not, I have the patched version here (the forwarder in there isn't updated for vWii, but WiiSX itself has been patched to work with forwarders). Also, there's a 50% chance that's my banner you're using ;)

Dunno, found it on the web and modified as requested by the user, I do not want to steal other works (addedd a thank-you line in my post) ;)

Hello asper, i notice that most forwarders you post, you only test the sd side, can you tell if they work with usb too?

No I cannot tell (not tested). If you want to know the supported path you have to unpack the wad (ex. with wadmii), open the 00000002.app file with an hex editor and look for "dol" and "elf" (without quotes). If you do that write down here your results and I will add to my post !

Nice work here @all!

I installed the WiiMC Forwarder on my vWii and half of the time WiiMC doesn't recognize my HDD. When I load WiiMC through the HBC the HDD is recognized everytime. Any idea?

i get a similar error when using the usb loader gx forwarder. i think my issue has to do with the hdd not initializing in time before i open the forwarder. 9 times out of 10 if it reboots back to the vwii menu it will work the next time i open it.

I wasn't taking issue with you using it (not even sure if it's mine, but it's either mine or CountZero's, though I can't say without looking at it myself), just felt like mentioning it.

Awesome work guys. Looking forward to a complete set of emulation forwarders.

BTW, is anyone else noticing that fceugx does not seem to run most roms on the vwii or is it just me?

ive only tried a handful of nes roms so far, but haven't run into any problems myself

Hi there,

maybe this is possible?
- create a "GameChannel.wad" with WiiGSC (I would prefer USB-Loader GX Forwarder)
- change the gernerated WAD with WadMii and tiny-vwii-nand-loader r2
- just install it with YAWMM...

Is there a low risk of a brick? Because it's "only" a forwarder I would use. This is like a "link" or isn't it?
Thanks!

Greetings
Crazy X
