Hmmm... I have something I want to make sure of...
If I format a system with A9LH linked to a NNID, I would still have A9LH but unlinked NNID and lose everything right?
If that's the case, then what if I made a NAND backup before I format my system, format it, then use the NAND backup I made?
Will the NNID I unlinked still be linked? Do I still have all my games since they are linked to a specific NAND and they're on my SD card and I backed up the NAND that the games are linked on?

It'll have issues. If you want to format and then restore, use TinyFormat to format instead.

TinyFormat is the tool for this job.

The reason you'll have issues if you format through system settings and then restore a backup, is because the Nintendo servers will think your NNID is unlinked from the console, but the console will not agree. TinyFormat gets around this by not informing the servers of anything.
