So yesterday, I was trying to enable .ctf themes on my PSP. Within the recovery menu, I was browsing the options, and accidentally reformatted flash1. Now most save files are corrupt. I was wondering whether this was because of the reformat, and, is there any way to fix this?

I've tried some homebrew, which claim to have worked when launched. I tried to use FreeCheat but pressing the "note" button doesn't work.

I have 5.50 GEN-B (FULL).

Please help! Otherwise that's over 200 hours of my life down the drain

EDIT: Oh yeah, I also managed to get the .ctf themes to work, might that have anything to do with it?

Ok. Since your FW files are corrupt, you need to reinstall the FW.

SInce you said you have 5.50 GEN-B I can take it fcor granted you have a fully hacked 1000 or 2000.

Try the following things --

*format the Flash 1 again. as well as the Flash 0.
*check the PSP, setting deleted but no matter.

If it does not work, you need to reinstall CFW.

You need to make a Pandora Battery and install Despertar Del Cementario with GEN-D Mod for the latest CFW.

Follow the instructions and use the HellCats Pandora Installer to see if your battery is Pandora capable. If not get one. Also, your memory stick you install DDC to needs to be a OFFICIAL SONY MEMORY STICK.

Once you install a fresh GEN-D, you should be good.

If you are worried about making a Pandora with only having one battery, make sure to Have a charger on standby. the way to make your battery back to normal is plug in your charger, start your PSP up, THEN put the battery in. it should start charging. go boot up HellCats and use it to "Normalize" your battery.

If you need anything explained a bit better (that was a quick run) or need to know where to get any files needed, just ask.

Oh fuck you said your SAVE FILES are corrupt... >_>

ok. hold on a sec. I'll get back to you in a minute. Ignore my NEW CFW tutorial.

Ok. First off your Memory card's data should not be able to be touched by formatting your Flash 0. Your Flash 0 is the PSP's internal memory... I do not have any clue as to why the memory stick was effected.

Sorry man. All I can suggest is to still reinstall CFW to the latest one ( if you can access your XMB, then just use this.

And back up all of your memory card files... then format that too.

If it is corrupt, do not wait for it to act stupid again format it.

All flash1 contains is the user defined settings (system name, time, internet settings etc.) In fact using the restore PSP to default settings option in the system menu does pretty much the same thing.

What firmware did those gamesaves originate on?

Awww fuckbeans I read wrong AGAIN. >_>

Yeah. that whole post I said about Flash 0 should have been saying Flash 1 instead.

Also, if you backed up your Flash, put the original back on your PSP and try that.

IT DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE....FLASH1 HAS NO REAL BEARING ON GAME SAVES!!!!1111!1!!!11!!

Dude, chillax. He made a typo. No need to get all "Caps-lock" on him.

It's not the typo...there's no need to replace anything in flash1 with a backup. Disseminating rubbish info is not a good thing to do...repeating it is just pointless..

*ugh I am glad I don't mess up my PSP. I have one but sometimes I think it is too complicated for it's own good. I don't care what people say though it has good games. In fact great games just not too many get released anymore.
