Gaming "Format Utility" question, help is appreciated.

Just wondering, if I use the format utility will the ps3 firmware still be on the ps3 as in I will have access to the xmb and everything? I know I have to backup all my saves and things like that. Thanks in advance.

One last secondary question: Is there anyway to back up my "gameshared" games?

You can't remove the PS3 Firmware.

Dunno about the "gameshared" games, though.
