Gaming Forced updating true?

I wanna go online in SFF4 but I am worried about my 3DS updating to a new firmware without my consent.

Anyone read the new ToS to know if this rumor is true?

So far it hasn't for me... I actually had to tell my 3DS to update when I purchased it, despite having gone online and after I setup internet (it didn't even ask if I wanted to check for updates, unlike the DSi and Wii)

They can not legally force you to update all they can do if you don't update is cut you off from online features.

Go to System Settings, and look for a "System Update" button.

I say go for it. The black screen of death is fixed and they give you a nice looking video.
