Looks pretty real to me, and it is an original idea. A new backup launcher would be much more exciting.

This does have good potential as a wii-unbricker though.

Well if it's optional a Wii application sending .iso requests over usb to the pc would be nice. Your pc sends a list of known .isos on your HDD over usb to a channel which lets you select which .iso to load *dreaming*. This would be worth 50 Euro for me, if you are only able to select the .iso at your pc, then less than 50 Euro.
It can't do that. This has nothing to do with the Wii's USB, the Wii doesn't even know it's installed.

You could potentially have a channel that talks over the network to an application running on the PC to do what you want though.

If the device is plugged into the wii's usb port, it should be possible to communicate from wii to pc over this usb cable. That this would be possible over network, i know, but over the usb cable you need anyways would be nicer.

Is it still possible for me to use my disc drive still when I install this? This is quite interesting and it makes me wonder if you can also play games from other regions too.

@Stab244, I am afraid that we really all don't know that much about it to make that answer... but in previous videos the person is inserting a disc in to the wii drive... I was thinking it may still be functional if it doesn't mean something is disconnected from the wiidrive itself when installing the Flatmiii hardware...

It's definatley something interesting to follow... and I think I will be interested to see this available.

im pretty sure you can use your drive still, it looks like its just bridged between the BUS and the drive.

All right then. I might get one if this really works. I have a spare labtop I can use to run the games from. Too bad it can't run from like a USB hard drive...

no one can get one at all right now, this is what makes me doubt it being real it has no suppliers wtf?
i know if i was a mod dealer i would be jumping all over this to see if it was real requesting a test flatmii to see if i wanted to sell it ect, ect,.

To answer the question about can you still use your drive...yes absolutely 100% sure.

But i like the price of this one, if it was a german reseller i really would consider it to order

62.85 USD
Not too bad...

And the Austilian one before, the 109AUD, did the conversion, it's only
76.36USD
Gotta love google money conversion, lol

You have to keep in mind Euro prices include taxes from 15 to 20% and us$ prices (as far as i know) are without taxes.

Its still kind of expensive considering most of the processing is done at the computer end with software. I hope in the future they come out with a version that uses only a USB hard drive. That would jack the price up a LOT though.
