I have a flatmii 125 that is several years old and has had this problem since the beginning. I was wondering if anyone else has this problem or knows a resolution.
USB Loading works ok. Loading backups from the DVD drive only works after I have connected and then disconnected the flatmii 125 to the PC software. DVD backups will continue to work until the WII loses power (is unplugged). If the WII loses power, I need to connected and then disconnect the Flatmii 125 to the PC Software in order to get DVD backups to work again.
I think it is a problem with either a defect (short) or with the combo mode logic that detects when to load from USB or when to load from DVD based on whether the PC software is connected or now. Does anyone know anything I can do or any sequence of initialization that will fix this issue?
