No, he means the deferent classes of dsi flash cart
Class 1: Basic, only uses header to trick dsi (R4i, AK2i, etc.) *PERMANTLY BLOCKED from 3ds as of 4.4.0-10*
Class 2: Uses a IC chip that is used in actual DS cartridges (SCDSTWO, R4i Gold 3DS) *Still usable on 4.4.0-10*
Class 3: Has acess to DSi mode (iCyclo) *Dead project, unknown*

Some people say the bigger the class,
the faster and easier is to update the card firmware,
is this true?

If it is, why Cyclops Team abandoned their flashcard,
it looks they could bypass this update easily.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes it is true, that is why supercard updates come appx 24 hrs after firmware update and say R4i takes two weeks
Theorically yes, as long as the iCyclo had the IC chip
 
Guys, the class info was posted by me, and the info never said class2 has an "IC" chip and others don't.

This is the exact portion of the quote from the team.
Class1: AK2i,Iedge, R4ids Gold(Non-3DS), R4iDSN(Non-3DS), R4I-SDHC, R4I-SDHC(3DS version), DSONEi and etc
Class2: DSTOW, ismmart, iplayer, EZVi, iPlayer, R4ids 3DS , R4iDSN 3DS and etc
Class3: iCyclo

Saying that class2 has an "IC" chip is sort of incorrect, IC is Integrated Controller, and all flash carts have that to an extent... the difference is how much of the cart can be reprogrammed, which is why the discussion of an IC chip came in. But that's like saying that the original "R4" doesn't have a bootloader. That's false, the original R4 does have a bootloader, but it cannot be updated.0

Anyways read my posts in this thread to see which info pertains to flash carts (as far as we're aware).

My posts have all the confirmed information so far. We don't know how much of the block theory is true yet.

And read this for more info in general on how carts and other things using FPGAs are constructed.

Given that the data on the iEvo seems to be really large and complex (to support the type of exploit used), it wouldn't surprise me.
