So my flashcard magically started booting again. But the "failed to inject FIRM" problem still persists - it backups successfully but when I get to injecting the FIRM, it always says that in red text no matter what (reformatting the card, checking with h2testw, etc).

My flashcard is clearly marked with "www.r4isdhc.com" and the year label is "2020", which means that it is FULLY compatible with ntrboot but the injector still fails for some unknown reason.

I've already posted a thread about this, and PabloMK7 made a genuine attempt at resolving the issue, but it was never resolved and I'm still having the issue.

Can anyone help with this? I'm already getting desperate...

Sounds like contact issues. Not uncommon. R4 carts often aren't as precise and durable as real games.

Your R4 might be an incompatible model after all (despite the 2020 year date).

Do you need ntrboot for any particular reason at the moment? Maybe get another flashcart.
