Hacking Fixing Wii Brick with Priiloader help!

My old wii which I thought unsalvageable has suddenly decided to boot into priiloader. The console bricked after playing wii sports resort from usbloaderGX with I presume the wrong ios, and would only boot to black screen. Thankfully priiloader is on there, and is now accessible. What is the recommended path to take to fix this mess? I only really care as it is compatible with the wiidual video mod, while my release machine is not.

If you can access the homebrew channel, you can reinstall ios 80 or reinstall the home menu with a home menu wad or with mmm.
