Homebrew Fixed 3ds, now wont turn on?

I own aN arm9loaderhax new3dsxl. The other day I fell while it was in my pocket and shattered the screen. I ordered the screen used and my friend fixed it for me. He opened it up, put in the screen, and put it back together really nice. but something was up. After the 3ds was fixed, this happened whenever I turned it on with the sd card inserted:


Notice how the power button glows on and off smoothly, as if no sd card was inserted. But, notice how the light turns on and immediately cuts off. Normally an arm9loaderhax 3ds glows on and off. This one cuts out immediately. Now, watch what happens when no sd card is inserted:


Yup, that's what arm9loaderhax looks like with no payload. A smooth on and off led. I am extremely confused. Does anybody know the solution to this issue? Keep in mind I tried this on a different Luma version, then when I saw the 3ds do this I updated to 5.5 and nothing changed.

I doubt it has to do with A9LH being installed, you probably just disconnected a ribbon cable or messed up somewhere in the screen replacement process. I would open it up and make sure everything is properly connected.

Did that already. How would you explain the difderence of the led with an sd card inserted vs no sd card.

Something else was messed up during the hardmod for sure. I'd advise you take it out and look for loose connections.

When my old O3DS had that ribbon cable connection problem, I just take a cotton swab, cut the bottom puffy tip off, and put the whole thing in between the lid gaps in the middle. Not really a fix, but a workaround.

I have had this happen to me. Since you opened it up you most likely left a cable loose or tore one. Check any if they have dents or cuts. Also check the speaker flex cable as that was my culprit.

If there is an sd card inserted, the 3ds tries to boot up and the loose cable or whatever shuts it down forcibly. My issue is, no matter how deep we go, there just isn't anything wrong with it.

When that happened to me i also thought it was A9LH. I removed the sd card and it also faded off, not instantaneously. Im almost certain it has something to do with the ribbon cables.
Also make sure the ir blaster is not upside down

I tried replacing an Old 3DS XL screen once. I did it right. It just wouldn't turn on anymore LOL. I'm 100% positive I put in all the cables too. It just wouldn't turn on. When I charge it I see the Orange Charge Light. But I never see the Blue On Light.

Hence, I have a still broken 3DS xD. Yours still glows as in turns on. You might not have the Ribbon Cable in all the way on 1 or more of it? The only thing you can do is take it apart and reassemble it. IF it worked before you took it apart.

What explanation do you want? People have told you to reseat the ribbon cables and i have told you to check for cuts or dents in the cables. Everyone says the same thing because that is the problem you are having, but you choose to ignore it.

Even the smallest tear can damage the cable. If possilbe swap the motherboard with another unit to make sure its not the motherboard or its connectors. Also try cleaning thr connectors on the board. The most common cables that cause the problem are the top ones that are connecting the Lcd, speakers, and camera. Even of it just looks like a small dent or fold , that might be the problem.

To me that sounds like a typical "OH SHIT I MESSED UP" sentence by just saying "Oh there's nothing wrong with it" especially if they were the person that disassembled it and patched it up. Just a way to not take responsibility. If it worked before the disassembly and didn't after the assembly it's the disassembler's fault.

Did he put on the battery before or after putting the back cover on. It could the motherboard if he reversed the polarities. Like i said, try to use the motherboard on a different 3ds if possible. If your sure there is nothing wrong with the cables, there might be something wrong with the screen's cable. They're usually from china, unless you bought a oem or pre owned one, and the build quality isn't that good.

Bought it on ebay preowned in the US. There is no way in hell I'm testing another motherboard.
