Hacking fix by a_running_pir8 didnt work

So i tried installing the Cios Fix and it says error Ret any ideas?

Im trying to help a guy who is getting error ret -1 at the ios downgrader stage.. I made him check that the internet agreement was agreed to and that he actually has an internet connection and router reset and blah blah.

I feel like this should be something easy but.. he just isnt getting it working. Suggestions? (DJ or anyone else welcome)

That tutorial gets it back to how you want it "easily" if you follow the tutorial "exactly" you can't really help him when the help is in the tutorial. is his internet connected properly?

Well either he is completely ignoring the tutorial or the error has nothing to do with the guide. He is only on like the third step and he says at least that IOS16 and cios_fix were done correctly. I cant exactly verify over the internet.

Usually Error ret-1 would indicate that the guy cant download from nintendo I had him make sure his router is not blocking nintendo traffic and that he has the agreement agreed to.. cant really thing of anything else.

If it was something really easy I probably would have known it
