Hacking Fix bricked R4i Gold?

Hey guys. A long while back I bought an R4i Gold with the site label r4i-gold.com . While updating, it froze and I had to turn the system off, and afterwards my DS Lite no longer recognized that a card was inserted. Is there anyway to "unbrick" it?

Nope, turning the console off while the flashcart is updating will break it, most flashcarts can't be recovered from that either.

You can try that, even if it were to fix the flash I doubt the flashcard will work properly since it wasn't fully updated.

Most of the time the cart is left in a state where the flasher would no longer be able to read what type of NAND the cart has, so no, you'd need a hardware SPI writer or something of the sort to fix a card that was bricked liked that.
