First Nintendo NX game?

At the end of this trailer you see something interesting. The consoles it is being made for
PS4, XBOX ONE WII U, NINTENDO NX, NINTENDO 3DS, STEAM, Google Play, and the App Store

However, if you notice they showed the NX logo. Could it mean Nintendo is sticking with the name NX and this game showed it's official logo?​

I doubt it. I haven't seen an official NX Logo Made.

But I believe it's supposed to look more slim like this,


Edit: Due to this being a little off topic, and realizing the topic of the thread (lol) I will re-edit this.

To be fair. I don't really care what game is published first. It may seem great to get your game known. But over all I don't see a point if this is releasing.

It seems the NX will have 3rd party support, while the Wii U will not. This will prevent Nintendo from crashing in the market hopefully.

The NX over all just seems like a new GameCube with a SNES combined with it. With Wii U graphics/PS4.

I wouldn't be surprised if they keep the name NX. 3DS wasn't supposed to be the permanent name if memory serves.

It seems far, far, FAR more likely that these guys don't know the actual name either, so they just slapped 'nintendo NX' on their video. But hey...I guess I can't stop you from thinking there's a chance...right?

Your memory is a bit clouded. The DS wasn't supposed to be the final name, but Nintendo decided to stick to it since it has created massive buzz prior to its release. The 3DS is a logical successor to the DS. There wasn't any other name on the table.

I doubt NX will be the final name since it consists of a portable and stationary console.

I'm pretty sure I remember a private summery of the 3DS leaked which was intended for the investors or whoever only and it said that the name 3DS was not its finalised name. No idea about the DS part though.
