DSi XL Panda Dev Console + Prototype
RARE Panda DSi XL development console. This console is sold directly to developers by Nintendo for creating games. It is very similar to a regular console, but includes additional menus for debugging and running code. It also features different colours to any retail versions, the bottom half of the console if bronze, the top is white.

Also included inside the console's memory is a rare prototype of an unreleased game. 'Pirates of the Caribbean Cannon Battles' is a Disney themed battleships game. Having played through a level it seems to be complete, so this is a rare opportunity to have a genuinely unreleased game in your collection.

Complete with box and manuals, the console is great, fully tested condition, 9/10. Outer box is also really nice, 9/10.

The only noticable difference that I could find is instead of a writing on the board saying CPU-01, it says CPU-X4. This makes me speculate this was used during the DSi's lifespan, rather before the release. (Note that the battery may not be the original, as all of his 1st-gen batteries died.)
Actually Ninty always uses X to denote prototype motherboard revisions, so X4 means its the fourth prototype revision. For instance here is a picture of a GameCube prototype X6 motherboard
When the motherboard is finished and final/retail they change it to 01.

JUST MINUTES AGO, Voodooween surprised me!

https://media.discordapp.net/attach...1/583594480255631380/JPEG_20190530_115512.jpg

Apparently, he bought the unit after all! He said at first he was about to buy it, but someone else was first... That was apparently a lie to keep everything quiet until he could surprise me.
That means the prototype is now in the hands of a dumper! I've contacted Voodooween countless times before about rare odds and devices he had sitting in his collection. I first thought he was messing with me, but nah. He spent the $750 on this prototype, and I can't be any more exited to dump the NAND and find what's within this weird menu.

We're almost there!

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

im taking a break for today anyway

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
