Gamepad:
is nice, its awesome to control the tv and play a game while a tv program is on.
Screen is only 480p but looks hd
x button is too close to right stick, will take some getting used to
pretty short signal range though

System:
update is ridiculously long
console is small and light, run quietly and cool.
os is slow but nicely laid out, eshop is improved over 3ds
Graphics on par with ps360, no more
-- although Arkham City has mem bandwidth related frame drops. gaf was going crazy but its not too bad -- gorgeous game.

That's about it -- currently waiting on a long Nintendoland game update before I try that game :P

Love the feel of the WiiPad, and the screen is Very clear and a lot of sound out of it! The new rounded edges of the disks are kinda odd feeling, They have a film on them too, just kinda neat but no one really notices. NintendoLand is fun, I think there is going to be more good party games with this new wiiu, this many against one is a new feeling for Nintendo. ALSO The zombieU is DARK, the guy blowing his head off is something N has never done, I wanna see what its like to have a mature audience geared games from them, some of the guys in the zelda camp could really revisit some things I think they toned down in the past with this new open story paths they are allowing. And I cant wait to see the turn out for MHTU with now everyone having a mic and headset, hope they take a page from MS on that and really kick ass on this side of things for them, also no more friend codes might be the best thing for them, its not great yet but a step in the best direction.
Hulu and netflicks might make it able for me to use hulu again as the net speed out here sucks maybe I can queue them up for later watching. This is also allowing for multiple companys real access to making good channels for us. [/end ramble on sentence]

Cons: Starting a disk game takes WAY TO LONG, they need to think about allowing loading of games on to the harddrive and load faster as long as the disk is in.

Over a minute to start a Disk game (dont know about downloaded one yet) and about 30 seconds waiting for the menu to start up EACH TIME YOU LOAD IT. And about 20 feet on the controller maybe 30?

The thing I noticed about distance is it really doesn't like walls. Expect intermittent signal even if there is a single wall -- even less than 5 feet total distance. And I agree with horrec, about 20 feet line-of-sight. The tv ir seems to insist on being pointed straight at the set as well.

@Xdqwerty No you heard wrong, and don't believe till you experience yourself. Fallout 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. Yes it had issues early on, esp with older hardware like the xbox1, but it is awesome, esp now being 4k on Series S/X or PS5

@BigOnYa, Then i think people were talking about fallout 76
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    that one was buggy too
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you right there, fallout 76 was a letdown, but it not that bad now, they have fixed slot of issues they had at launch. Biggest issue with Fallout 76 is its a pay to advance further type of game, which sucks
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, I may probably download fallout 3 or new vegas on my ps3
