    So, remember the firmware.nds file floating around? It's great for running the DS system menu on the DSi, however it is based on an old DS phat firmware (v3). I took the file and modified it to use the DS lite firmware (v5), so screen brightness should work.

    Now, I know posting the file is illegal, so I'm just posting a patch so if you already have the old firmware.nds, you can use bspatch to update: http://filetrip.net/f24561-DS-Lite-System-...S-file-5-0.html (make sure to compare MD5).

    I don't have a DSi, but it works on my Lite. I'm hoping that it works on the 3DS because the 3DS doesn't have PictoChat.

    specificly itll get stuck after reboot as it has not much way to save most the settings. :< is sad
