I use sys-clk in 7.0.1 and have shorter loading times. Why do you need a firmware update?

If you have a legit devkit from nintendo you can enjoy v9 right now.

It may infact drop tonight around 8pm est for us retail end-users, but there is small possibly that v8.1 will be instead their next release.

The reason Microsoft did not have a Windows 9 is because there is software out there that would check for Windows versions beginning with 9, expecting them to be Windows 95 or Windows 98.
