Hacking firmware 4.2

i have 3.2u running and run backups fine.. today i have decided to update it to 4.2 for new features i wanted.now can i still play backup with disc channel with 4.2?if so, then how?

if u want to play from the disk channel u need to use cioscorp 3.6, but u can always use neogamma instead
