Whats the best firewall to use other than zonealarm? thanks
Kerio Personal Firewall
that was real fast! thanks! downloading now
What's wrong with ZoneAlarm?
i cant install if for some reason
Oh, OK. I use it and I think it's pretty good.
comodo works if I need a software firewall:
Zone Alarm leaks memory a not exactly quick pace but as I do not make a habit of turning my firewall off...
Hardware firewalls (be they router or junk linux box based) are arguably the best way though.
The newest Zone Alarm Security Suite is just about as good as a hardware firewall. I connected my PC directly to the modem to see what it would catch, and I got a crap load of alerts very quickly
i just wanna say thanks for all the replies,im using comodo at the moment and im looking into zonealarm suite thing though
Be warned : It does use a lot of ram. Idling, it's half of what's in my ram (about 15k)
that is no good......thanks for warning me
If you have to have the best protection, a hardware firewall and zone alarm suite is the way to get (for firewalls)

(my task manager when pc is idle)
by the way is there a particular firewall that works very well with the nintendo wifi usb?
This is a little late in the game, but if you have an old P3 box with 256MB RAM or more, you can download Astaro and load it. It's INCREDIBLY powerful, standalone ... you just need 2 NICs.
http://www.astaro.com/ or http://www.astaro.org/ for support.
Just don't use Zonealarm if you intend on using the Nintendo USB Wifi Connector as they are incompatible with each other.
