Gaming Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon

1. Merric is awesome and is definitely in my top 3 characters. However if he is getting RNG screwed, then Linde is a viably alternative to him.

2. I like Nabarl because I love swordmasters. Others don't think that highly of him because apparently swordmasters aren't that good in this game. So use him if you want, I suggest you do.

3. The two (Abel and Cain) or three (Frey, if you're playing normal) starting cavaliers are good in any physical classes. They make excellent Horsemen, which I prefer over archers or hunters. But my bow users of choice are generals, they rock.

4. The thief (Julian, the other one sucks) is not only awesome at opening locked things, but believe it or not excellent at fighting as well. He has very good growth and is matching my Marth in strength (and beating him in speed by far), so take that as you will.

To bad he can't evolve (Julian) But at least he can get higher levels then the rest.
Frey rocks, and he's cool aswell hehe.

More importantly than getting a higher level, he has higher caps

IIRC Swordmasters don't get a critical boost in this game

. It's because this is a remake, and such things didn't exist back then.

I use my Nabarl with a silver/killing edge. The dodge formula has also been altered, so people evade much less often this is another blow to the swordmaster.

I used Frey as decoy. I don't know why but i like Cain and Abel more than Frey. My favourite characters are: Barst, Narbarl and Merric.
