FE8 was released to us for the reason that they want to hype this game up a little. I'm 75% sure this game will come out in the US.

I mean, Europe is already doing the translations for themselves; America just needs to copy theirs and Americanize it! That's it.

I highly doubt FE being released for ambassadors has anything to do with it, not to mention that only ambassadors got it, its not even on the eshop. =S
Although it'll most likely be released, that's not really a good explanation why.
