OK, so since I haven't seen much of anything on here, have you tried compressing the isos using umdgen or similar? I know that the ratio may not be insane, but I'd imagine that using a cso for people who _can't_ handle isos more than the 1.7GB(or whatever it was) would be a nice compromise for those that are nuts and refuse to install pro-cfw, when using cso at level 9 the size is reduced from 3.5GB to 2.5GB, so ~2/3 the original size, including removing duplicate stuff, I'd imagine that you'd be way closer to the goal that you had originally and it wouldn't require downsampling the videos.

Haha :D nice, he really looks awesome and heroic :), thx ;)
I wanna play that fight *_*

masterz87: u make me a little unsure about that, but wasn't that allready cleared up? As I know we have enough space right now :)
And the videos are allready tinier xD I dunno if there are still problems with space though, that one has to be answered by sky

I was talking about trying to use CSO, so that way the videos _don't_ have to be compressed as much. That was what I was asking about since using CSO helps make the thing ~33% as small, and i haven't dug around in there to find out the bitrate for the videos, nor have I viewed the in game cutscenes and seen how much smaller they are. I do know that artifacts are bound to appear when you take cgi with a metric ton of crap(se speciality) and try to reencode at mini-sized files.

for example, lookin gat a couple of videos from games I have, they're pmfs but they're mp4/avc and the bitrate is between 1400-2400 now for the size that we're talking about yes that's a bit much and could likely be ~50% as high as that and still look fine(on the psp's screen) but looking at it through video out/etc it'll make it look way worse.

Anyway as I said, by using CSO he'd have way more work and _wouldn't_ have to reencode the videos as small of a file. I also hope he misspoke and that se _isn't_ using mp2 for their videos in that game, as a game I have that came out a year or so before ff7 cc was using h.264, and the bitrate was around that rate too(I was able to get avg which was ~1500kbps) which isn't amazing but still I iimagine that's the range for it.

Edit: I also do realize that the bitrate _doesn't_ have to be that high for the PSP due to insanely small screen size. I'd imagine that you can get away with something like 750kbps maybe even 500(but that's pushing it way too much). I was suggesting it so that way the videos wouldn't have to be downsampled as much. And I'd like to know how much worse they look now compared to before. I believe he has a tool to convert them, and I'll probably see myself and try my own hand at the tomfoolery to see how things go later but still cso would help to make the videos not as compressed as they(likely) are now.

Umm i tried to merge the ISO and found out i know nothing about how to do it .... i have both isos but what the fuck is umdgen and how do i use
??

EDIT:
OK NEVER MIND !!!! I FIGURED IT OUT

So i was wondering... when i saw i can change the icon0 with UMDgen (when merging the files) i thought to myself... what about costumising the all the icons and png's. =) so instead of the normal png u get when u select the iso you would have maybe this pic costumized in photoshop. Of course i would edit my pics with PS myself and have them saved as png's. i could even share. BUT would it work and if its possible should i know something special (like max resolution or something)

All images in the game (including character textures) can be edited as part of the current hack; we use it to edit images that contain text.
However, releasing a set of tools to allow this kind of customization is not as interesting as it was for Dissidia Duodecim.

I dunno about that.

"Type-0" went through quite a few changes before it became what we ended up with today. Might be kind of neat to invoke some of those changes back.

Those UI's are not present in the final ISO, but even if they were, bringing them back (which would be interesting to see how'd they look like) wouldn't require image edition. As fot the development tools (the ones I built to allow the translation project) there are no plans of releasing them once the project finishes.

Yes, that'll be changed, and what I meant is that, while bringing unused, beta stuff back to game would be pretty interesting, doing them ourselves would not :/
