WHY... WHY use the Crisis Core battle system?! It was one of the worst thing ever happened to the FF series. Oh well, seems like I won't ever touch a new FF. EVER.

Only classic remakes for me, then

It doesn't use the Crisis Core battle system. An evolved version of it rather. But when SE says something's "evolved" generally it means "nothing like" for better or worse. See Front Mission Evolved et al.

It's almost sad this game looks visually better than most PSP, PS2 and Wii games.
Alternatively people with a nico nico account can stop watching bits and pieces of what people upload to YouTube and watch it fully here:

It looks pretty good, though I don't know, is the crisis core battle system good? I've never played it, but people say it's bad.

It's a mix of Crisis Core and The 3rd Birthday.
It's not going to be exactly the same.
Ah, well I'll try once it comes on out.

Goli: People said that it uses some of crisis core, that's why I asked.

The battle system in the game is a new evolution of the "ATB Kai" system that was created by Takatsugu Nakazawa for Final Fantasy X-2, and later refined in Crisis Core -Final Fantasy VII-. Unlike Crisis Core, Type-0's combat is party-based. Instead of navigating through menus, actions are mapped directly to the face buttons for quick access. Nakazawa says he wants it to be the fastest version of ATB ever created.

Tabata also says that Type-0 is similar to The 3rd Birthday, saying that while they are two different games in terms of content, the core of what the staff can do on the PSP in terms of gameplay is similar between the two games.

Double post and not giving a fuck

Kitase Unsure Of Final Fantasy Type-0 Western ReleaseDespite Square Enix preparing Final Fantasy Type-0 for a release in Japan this summer, the Japanese publisher has said absolutely nothing about a release outside of Japan. And recent comments from Yoshinori Kitase, the game's producer, do little to comfort fears that it may never release outside of Japan.

"As you may know very well, with the PSP market, the situation is very different in Japan than outside of Japan," said Kitase when speaking to us at E3 2011. "We are having to be very very careful in how we decide what would be the best way to deliver the game to all the gamers."

Kitase then went on to ask Western gamers for patience as they look for a resolution, "At the moment I can't give you any confirmed decision, so please be patient for a little bit longer."

While Kitase doesn't outright confirm that it won't get released, his comments about the differing PSP markets are concerning. They could still release it as a PSN title though.[/p]
