At least, I got Summon Night to keep me waiting and Etrian Odyssey should be there within 2 weeks

So, did you played FFT and FFTA? I'm at the end of chapter 3 in FFT at the moment. I start playing SRPG with FFTA (I have even bought a GBA only for that game !) so obviously, I'm wishing that FFTA2 will be great

3 more weeks...

Well, I am playing the japanese FFTA2, and am thoroughly enjoying the game so far. I remember hating the GBA version, but I think maybe I should go back to it...

Actually I just started playing FFT yesterday!

But yeah I dunno how many hours I put into FFTA - even started anew once after a break for a few months. I never finished the game though, but I never really felt like I had to either with such an awesome gameplay

Ugh... I NEVER liked FFT and FFTA. Technically, the games are good, but they don't catch me like other games like Luminous Arc, Front Mission, Disgaea and so on. Maybe i play FFTA2, just for try it.

..I loved FFTA, got over 100 hours of play, and yet didn't completed all missions ( I think i missed some of them in gameplay)..
I just wish they added more visual effects in this one..

Etrian Odyssey and it's sequel have been out in North America for a while...

Yeah, I meant the second one, sorry.

the first FFT was brilliant

it was almost as good as Tactics Ogre

Tactics Ogre FTW!
Too bad it is highly unlikely the Ogre Battle series of games will never be finished

I've never played Tactics Ogre, I tried to find it in stores, no luck. Too bad my cart doesn't read gba rom, I think it's because of the speed of the memory.

Tactics Ogre was a damn good game.
FFT and FFTA were good too, but I think FFTA could've used some work with the story.

It just sucks that the FFTA2 story is so similar to that of FFTA.
Atleast the gameplay will be fun :/

Yeah, graphics and sounds look really better also on FFTA2.

But it's very difficult to do better than the FFT story. Such epic.

yes FFT story was epic. So sad that both FFTA and FFTA2 are not.

but that's not gonna stop me from playing FFTA2 once it comes out

FFT was a good game considering battle mechanics and story revelations.
FFT : War of the Lions in PSP was good too, packed with cell shaded 3d cutscenes etc. Though i dont like the sound and some graphics, i see HOSHIGAMI REMIX in it.

FFTA, I enjoyed every minute playing this game. More than a hundred hours too. (it would because the game takes time while in battle, you have to wait) Story is good enough for me.

FFTA2, looking forward to it!

When most people say Tactics Ogre they mean the first one for SNES/PSX but yes there was another one which imho is good but not as great as the first

yeah, the original psx tactics ogre was spectacular
the GBA version was very decent as well

yeah imho it was way better than FFT multiple endings based on how you played(never really liked FFTs ending), i also loved how certain classes for certain characters were opened(or closed) by doing certain things, and i think that it made non-human characters more usable
