Last night when I played my PSP Final Fantasy IX (US Version (SLUS01251)), I forgot to turn it off, and eventuelly the battery ran out, and by accident the PSP fell out of my bed.

Here is the problem. When I want to continue playing FF IX by using cheat, there is nothing on the menu anymore. There was before, but now there is absolutely nothing. Why is that? I removed everything from CW cheat and installed everything again, still everything is blanked. Another solution I tried was to delete the FF IX eboot, and copy a new one again, still didn't work.

Any solution guys?

and you tried replacing the cheatpops.db? try acquiring the file from a different source, could be an error in it.

I download the db. by using PSP Cheat up v0.50.

Perhaps I need to reinstall my CFW?

or perhaps you need to try a db acquired from a different source. could also be a memory stick formatting issue. depends on what the system was doing when the battery died.

Oh man... Do you know any other sources I could acquire db? I only use the PSP Cheat up v0.50

Bring up the CWCheat Menu again and check what the game ID is. Then go into the database with a text editor (or Pasky's CWCheat editor) and check what number is there for the game you're playing.

For some bizarre reason sometimes CWCheat changes the Game ID of a game randomly.

Thank you! I accidently managed to delete my game.txt which is supposed to activate to use the cw.

Do you know what I should write down the command to use the psx cheat?

It didn't work when I wrote down "ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheat.prx 1"

you have to enable the cheatpops plugin in pops.txt

just create a txt file called: pops.txt

for me the line is: ms0:/seplugins/cwcheatpops.prx 1

Didn't work. Is it possible you could please upload the game.txt and the pops.txt line for me? Or you could just write it down here.

you just have to direct them to the location of the prx files on your memory stick. mine may not be in the same places as yours

game.txt
ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat.prx 1

pops.txt
ms0:/seplugins/cwcheatpops.prx 1

I don't get it. This is becoming very frustrating. It doesn't work at all.

I remembered I read somewhere long timer ago that if I wanted to use cheat for psx, the line are supposed to be differently than the PSP . Is it true?

Hey!

Just wanted to let you know that it works now. Xist was right. For some reason, it did actually change my game ID. Very strange indeed, but thanks for the support guys! I appreciate it a lot!

Glad it's fixed....see, sounded whacky, yet it was what was happening...
