I went and get the game, patched it for english for items in the game. I really like the Wii version of the game, so I got it for the DS to try it out. Game is in Japanese text, but don't care about that.
But at the point when past the bat with alot of health, when I reach the stairs, both DS screens go black and nothing else happens happens. Music still plays.
I am playing this on my DSi with hiyacfw with Twilight menu ++. Is there something I need to do to get past the black screen?
