Gaming FFIV Freeze at Polom/Porom on a DS-X

Hi everyone two little quick questions...

1) On my old DS-Xtreme (firmware 1.13b) when playing FinalFantasyIV, the screens goes all black (but the sound is still playing) just after the presentation of Polom and Porom. I want to know if someone knows a way around this bug.

2) Can i transfer a DS-X save game on a R4DS?

1. You have any cheats enabled? I don't know much about the DS-X, but is that the latest firmware? If not, then upgrade to the latest one.

you dont really need a sav convertor you just have to change the extenison of the file

There are no cheats on DS-X.

You can still prepatch the rom with a trainer with something like cracker's program.
It's known that there are some cheats for FFIV that messes up your game if you activate them at the wrong moment.
