Nice to hear you guys are happy.

It was only easy because all the script in this game isn't compressed. It's all plain text you can easily edit. But there are many roms where the text is compressed/encrypted or even embedded in a picture. You see the Menu Button, in the upper right corner, i could't translate? This is probably an image and much more difficult to hack than what i have done.

Not to sound like a idiot. But is it possible to use this same method for Jump Superstars?

isnt the game gonna be released in a month? october 2nd i think .

@kalimero

is it too much to ask if you can translate the name of the avatars?

the default names i mean , if it is a hassle then ignore this request.

Luneth
Ingus
Arc
Refia

Nope, in november.

Eh and thanks for your work kalimero, I didn't have the time to play a lot with ff3 but it's still appreciated. It's nice to see some dedicated folks like you. Now if I can just stop playing castlevania, must have beat it 3 times last week
wacko.gif
maybe then I could try ff3 a little more!

Not to sound like an idiot, but if I gave you 25 american dollars, would you translate the whole game for us?

No thanks. Ask Square Enix North America and offer them maybe 35 bucks. I'm shure they will do it till 14th of Nov.

It's done but you must start a new game. I guess the japanese names are now stored in your save.

Nope, in november.

He meant Jump Super Stars, not Final Fantasy.

Got damn kalimero!!!!! Great Job! Amazing even.

Ever since I played the demo at comicon, I've been WAITING to get my hands on this game. You've made it possible. Once my supercard lite comes in, this is the first game im playing.

Now, if you happen to have one more update under your sleeve before the NA release....I'd do your dishes for a week.

sorry about this but can you give me a direct ink to the windows ppf version?

I cant find an nds one and when I tried it, I supercard - encoded it and then it wouldnt load =[

ppf patcher win: http://www.paradogs.com/download/pdx-pom3.zip
Make sure to enable patch Cartridge access in supercard software.

ummmm when i patch the game with the new version it just goes white, can i use the bat from the first version to patch also?

yes. rename your rom to "wrg-ff3j.nds" and the patch "wrg-ff3j.ppf".

There is already a chinese translated version of the JAP rom.

It's good to be chinese, playing and understanding the game right now.

Don't know why it always take long for the English translation...games like Gyakuten Saiban (Phoenix Wright) on the GBA is already translated to chinese a long time ago, all three of them.

I name the rom and the patch the same, with different file extensions.

I then use the new version of the supercard software to convert it. I double click the rom and select Enable patch cartridge access. I then click out and put it onto my card.

I open it the normal way and the screen is white

are you sure you first properly applied the patch with ppf-o-matic3? Or other PPF patcher?

beside that, have you gotten Final Fantasy 3 to work at all?

For FF3 to work you must upgrade the firmware, upgrade available at the Supercard site in the setup package
Put sd_163.bin onto your memory stick and when you boot up you should be prompted to upgrade

I use passkey...

can you give me a tut of what to do then?

that shouldn't matter, just go to the Supercard site, go to Soft, and download "setupsdV255Cen.rar"

extract the "sd_163.bin" file, put it on your memory stick. Insert it into your Supercard flashcart, and when you boot up you should be prompted to upgrade

choose yes, and after it's done you'll be ready to play the latest games (you still need to enable patch cart access)
Remember to upgrade the firmware whenever a new version is available.

Did the patch thing...all is ok till you get to the big turtle and then the english text reverts back to Jap....except for the menu's which are still English...great job, for getting a taster of the brilliant game, will wait till the US version arrives now though
