Gaming FF13 Freezing on me

I know this is an old issue, but for the life of me can not figure it out. I tried searching for an answer, but people keep speculating about it being certain consoles and a bad disc and what not.
I'd like some help with this please.

I have a 120 GB, PS3 Slim, running 3.66

I'm on Chapter 7 right after Hope joins with Snow and they enter this sewer looking area. As I head towards a metal door it starts to play a cutscene, but nothing happens. Just black for as long as I let it.

Is there anything I can do?

If there is an answer and I didn't see it, sorry. Please show me.

Borrowed, used, I then had it professionally cleaned with a machine at Play N Trade.

maybe's it glitched. i had an issue with a game i bought and i had to restart my data which ticked me off. not sure if this works but try to copy your save to an usb stick then start over maybe i'm not sure how far in the game you are through... or rent or get a different copy...
