I have the BIOS needed to get it to run, but where do I put it? And does it have to be a certain name?

Alright before this thread is left to rot i need to let you know a few things.

1. post your question in the thread of the application, an extra thread just takes up space and more people will know the problem in that thread.

2. The application is called FCEUMM3DS and uses .nes roms

3. If you go to thread and take 5 seconds out of your day, it says the bios needs to be named disksys.rom and needs to be on the root of your sd card.

4. FCEUMM3DS is no longer being worked on, and is admittedly a pretty bare bones emulator. If you want the best out of nes emulation on a 3ds, use VirtuaNES: https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-virtuanes-for-3ds.465461/

EDIT: point #2 appears to be fixed in the title by a mod. Either that or i imagined up another E in the name
