The hard drive was formatted due to an update attempt that sent the console into an update loop. Afterward, I've attempted with a handful of USB's to reinstall the system software, all to end on the screen of "Checking. . . Please wait." USB's are all formatted to FAT32, following the correct folder structure. Tried to cadge an update from the official Sony website but the link wasn't working so I had to obtain it from an alternate source. Tried an earlier update rather then the latest, same screen. How can I bypass this?
