Not for me. My O3DS XL installs .cia files far faster than my N3DS XL. Most likely has to do with the sd cards.

Maybe slightly? If you're importing massive CIAs or a ton of them you probably wanna go to bed still.
quick question, is the bottleneck on cia installation the encryption as its stored on the SD, i know you guys aren't having cia installation and stuff like that, but im wondering if it would be possible to patch out the encryption as its stored to the SD so its just stored un-encrypted, well not actually "unencrypted" as the actual content would still be encrypted, but i mean not using the SD encryption....would that cause any significant improvement in installation times

again not saying do it for karl3ds as its fairly pointless when you cant install cia files anyway, im just wondering where the slowdown comes from

Just did a simple .cia installation, game used was Code Name STEAM, game size is 1 GB. N3DS XL went faster than it normally goes, gonna try it with MH4U next.
*MH4U took 47 minutes on O3DS XL, 55 minutes on N3DS XL

Started at 6:51 N3DS XL on left and O3DS XL on right

Just found out he's doing alright, doing a lot of complaining too, rightfully so. Who wouldn't complain after having a seizure and being hospitalized?
