Fantasy Life Getting A Sequel On IOS and Android

Remember the quirky little RPG Fantasy Life that came out for 3DS last year? If you really enjoyed it, you can put your hands together for a sequel coming this year! But... maybe not on the platform you want.​

​

While the gameplay and story focuses a bit more on building up the town, it has the same fields to explore, except this time on smartphone devices. There will be familiar characters returning as well, and you can form parties to take on monsters.

Fantasy Life 2: Two Moons and the Village of God will launch in Japan this Summer for iPhone and Android devices.

I liked Fantasy Life, and don't see much issue having it drift to mobile. It was a very pick-up-and-play RPG to me, and being able to pop in and out of it on my phone sounds splendid.

I don't like the idea of it being on Smartphones.
For me this is simply not a viable gaming platform and 90% of the games there are simple uninspired cash grab

Well, as long it doesn't become a cheap cash grab, I have no problems with that, but I never played Fantasy Life 1 so I can't really say how it can work in a smartphone enviroment.

Meh this sucks.. I hate the normal touch screen controls.. i wonder what the quality of the game will be, and if it can surpass the first game.

Mobile games are utter trash and Fantasy Life was simply too good to go in this direction.

He didn't actually mention graphics. I suspect his ill-feeling towards mobile games is the diabolical business model most of them adopt.

because when I purchase a Nintendo console I do it because of the graphics.

You seriously need to start using some punctuation, commas are your friend. =O
As for the graphics and processor stuff... Good phones cost good money, simple as that, crappy phones cost little money. Just because a game will be available for android it doesn't mean it will work on all android devices, people seem to forget this quite often.

Fantasy Life is a LEVEL 5 game, not a Nintendo game. All Nintendo did was publish the game in Europe and America.

From what I gathered, this game will follow the scheme that a lot of these games use. Build stuff and then either wait for them to finish, or pay to hurry it up.
There are already plenty of games with similar settings in the android market, hopefully LEVEL 5 makes it different from the rest somehow, otherwise it will be an extremely boring game.


This game is far from being the same as the 3DS game, really far from it. People need to realize that.

Specs aren't the point. As Depravo mentinoed, most mobile games are complete trash because of their payment model. They often force you to wait before being able to play again unless you spend money, require ridiculous amount of grinding to get anywhere (just 5$ to massively speed up grinding!), or have some other way of constantly throwing "Buy currency pls" in your face.
