Fallout 4 is coming to the Nintendo Switch 2

Bethesda loves porting games, and they will continue to do so, by bringing Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition to the Nintendo Switch 2. This version of the game will contain Fallout 4's six expansion DLCs along with over 150 Creation Club items. No specific release date was given, other than a 2026 timeframe.

The definitive edition of Fallout 4 is coming to Nintendo Switch 2. It’s been ten years since players first stepped out of Vault 111 and into the post-nuclear world. To mark the occasion, Bethesda Game Studios is thrilled to announce Fallout 4: Anniversary Edition. This is the ultimate celebration of a beloved classic, bringing together the complete Fallout 4 experience on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.

nah I'd stick to the pre next gen pc version of skyeim and F4 (if you know you know) even since that update came out screwed over a lot of mods including the "unofficial" DLC fall out london
I never updated to the ruin-the-mods update, the one time I liked gog.com's "failure" to get a fully "updated" game; works with the london mod too.

the switch 2 has failed imo. these announcements prove it. nothing against fallout 4 but porting old games there are already available on other systems isnt a method of success. specially when those ports havent been seen as better and take more time and development work to get functional than there seems to be interest in them.

the things customers are saying they want nintendo isnt working on. they arent listening to customers and this is what happens in the entertainment industry when u strip the entertainment value and start playing chess with products to manipulate $$ out of the person ur supposed to be entertaining. it starts well but hardly ever ends positively or successfully.

nintendo is evil. that much is sure.

its been this way on consoles for a long time with CFW homebrew. most functionality from modern gaming comes first from homebrew ideas and mods.

theres tons of stuff that fan communities have came up with that companies shut down because they cant find a way to profit off it and tons of stuff they have taken from fan communities and wrapped a bow on and started charging for the fan ideas like the company was the one that created them.

companies are mostly IP holders and must act like criminal mafia organizations because the patent systems is built off criminal intention.

the root cause to alot of humans problems right now is advancement and access related because of patents.
someone tried to "patent" a Martial Arts technique: a certain type of punch. That's very weird. And he was serious about it too.

I don't know I can't get into the Fallout games they seem cool but I just don't get very far into them same for Elder Scrolls games not saying they're bad though they just don't hold my interest.
That's my whole thing. I can't get far in any elder scrolls but I can play fallout nonstop for hours.

Microsoft and Bethesda need more money as they tank the company, might as well attempt to get funds from the Nintendo market.

Switch 2 the latest thing, they just reaching! Unfortunately I doubt any fans of the series would dare play this on Switch 2, versus the other consoles and PC.

I had to check. I have 1,565 hours played on Steam.

Seeing this come to Switch 2 not long before they release Season 2 of the show is just another avenue to marketing and selling their brand to the casual market that prior to the show hasn't heard, or played anything Fallout.

If you are interested in Fallout 4 as a game, just go PC. It's old enough that most anything today runs it well, and the plethora of mods is what really makes this game worth getting into.

Didn't Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom release after Skyward Sword?
What you mean that game that was full of joy con motion control demos thrown into an empty over sized map and nintendo thought let's make money off this and throw zelda into it.

Then later had so many dlc ideas that then decided to crap that out as a new title to charge full whack and gain more sales....

Yea, sorry but a game full of tech demos isnt a zelda game, its a repetitive boring cash grab.

Like how the Switch 2 this time they literally crapped out their demos and charge people as if it were an actual game....

No, I'm talking about The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Did they release AFTER Skyward Sword?
