Well mate. We don't know when anything of these things will happen so a year of PS+ isn't that bad. Even more, we probably won't have access to online play soon (like in PS3) with a loader or whatever it comes, so, in the end, PS+ isn't a bad deal, in my opinion. Perhaps I see it this way because I like PS+ (not paying for playing online, unless servers are REALLY better).

The kernel exploit was leaked ages ago. iosu is "being worked on" still though if that's what you meant.
