Only issue is nothing should have been announced until there was more progress. Now I have to worry about my PS4 updating etc.

It's not easy to patch an exploit which they have no idea what is being exploited. However the company is big enough, so they will probably have a month or two at most before sony finds it themselves.

but since we have kernel access, it's basically confirmed
i mean, before kernel access, no real chance of it happening.

although I HOPE THE DUMPS are real drm stuff with sig patches and not decrypted junk.
since i guess it is a different team behind it, so we might not be 'restricted' and have the competition of reversing henkaku etc
