I never said anything about being "infallible," but I'm sure they would've preferred to have Switch on the market for a least a couple more years before exploits went public.

Okay? People are still freaking out about it and it's just a waste of time and energy. I doubt teaming up with AMD would've fared any better.

Something like this might be the solderless version that Team X-Whatever pretends to sell for more than $65 USD.

So now, who will throw their money into the trash bin by buying their crap?

Sure beats supporting Team Fail0verflow's crap.

Definitely not, AMD didn't have anything on the market which would've worked for Switch's form factor. Still, it's funny that there were reports about Nvidia crying over the margins on Switch sales, and their own hardware flaw is what will lead to early homebrew/piracy. Hopefully Nintendo doesn't dump Nvidia for the Switch 2 over this.

Well, F0F basically just open-sourced this shiz and told you it can be done with a small copper wire. Anybody would be insane to price something like this at more than $20.

But as of now, not much can be done with this exploit anyway. The scene has to actually come to fruition before it can be of any use, no one knows how long that'll be. Dropping nVidia over an honest mistake would be a douche move.

Regarding payloads:
Fusée Gelée automatically loads intermezzo.bin, which when loads whatever payload you specify on the f-g command line
That payload will eventually load further payloads (read: Atmosphère layers) from the SD card
However right now, we do not have an sdmmc driver for the bpmp which is where fusée gelée's payload (read: fusée) runs
As such: there is nothing for the end user right now

11 honest mistakes, in the bootrom alone. Allegedly. ;)

But don't fear for them, they've been able to make actual advances in chip development, while large competitors of theirs have not. So they will always be in demand. :)

So much so, in fact - that they are starting to behave like monopolists themselves.

Its not security that gets rewarded in this "game". :)

Hmm, I have a spare R-JoyCon shell. It'll be fun assembling it with the bridged connector and replacing all the controls with just one button labelled "Hax".

Darn it, you figured out TX's secret is an R-JoyCon that you buy and slide onto your 'Switch' :)
