Hacking Question Factory Reset Switch Without Needing to Go Online?

Hi all,

The SD card I was using on my Switch no longer works. Rather than manually deleting all the game icons from my Switch, can I do a factory reset without needing the Switch to connect online? I don't want to connect online and find myself with the 6.2 firmware.

The two options are initialise in the system settings and by using maintenance mode. Either of those erase my Switch clean but leave the existing firmware version intact (6.0.1)?

Factory reset does not change your fw version... only when you connect online. Since you dont connect online to factory reset, it is safe to do so
