Apologies if this question has been answered before, but I have been searching forums and youtube tutorials for hours and haven't found the answer I've been looking for.

I bought a Switch Lite (Hyrule Edition) earlier this year and I sent the console off to get a Picofly Modchip installed.

This month I have decided to sell the switch as I recently purchased a Steam Deck.

As I am looking to sell the console, I have been searching for tutorials and asking AI how to safely factory reset the Switch Lite without bricking the console.

By the way the person who installed the chip also installed Hekate V6.2.2 and Atmosphere onto the console.

I have deleted my personal data from the OFW but to do so, I needed to update the OFW to V20.0.1

After doing so, I can no longer boot the 'Sysmmc CFW' or 'Emummc CFW' from Hekate. When I try to do so, I receive the error message: 'Failed to match warmboot with fuses! If you continue, sleep won't work!' and 'Failed to Lauch HOS!'

Please help. how do I reset this console without bricking and removing the chip.

Any advise or step by step tutorial would be greatly appreciated.

Thanking you in advance.

"Failed to match warmboot with fuses!" is an error that might show up when you use an outdated Hekate/Atmosphere package.
Just install the latest version and it should go away.

There isn't a way to just disable the modchip, except by removing it.
You only need to remove the board but can leave the cables (cover the ends with tape).
The other option is to have Hekate boot automatically into the OFW with some setting.

Why not sell it with the modchip and only the OFW boot option?
People will happily pay extra for it.

A factory reset should not brick the console as it just wipes the user partition of the internal nand (sysnand).
You can update your OFW to the latest firmware through the menu if you don't plan on using the current CFW anymore.

Thanks for the advice.
I have tried updating Hekate & Atmosphere. But now every time I try to open Stock or Custom Firmware, I recieve the following message. "Failed to identify kernel!" "Failed to launch HOS!"

First of all, update the Atmosphere software, possibly using a precompiled pack like Hats Pack. Once you have correctly updated Atmosphere (remember to delete the existing warmboot folder on your microSD), you can correctly boot both the original memory and the emulated one on microSD. You can, on both memories, enter safe mode to perform a factory reset.
