How are your files stored? Are they archived with the save inside them or are they plain NDS files? Also, what options do you have switched on?

The renaming options alone make this a worthwhile tool, you must do a lot of work on the ini never mind the app itself.

Great work and it keeps getting better!!

Cheers mate! I'll be releasing a new app soon which has all the features of EZ-Trim+ and more. It allow's renaming inside th archives as well and has a much more reliable (although a small touc slower) renaming method plus GBA renaming. If you want to take a look at the work in progress build (it's mostly fully functional, just needs some more testing) you can download it here http://tinyurl.com/5pybf8 and if you want to have a look at some screenshots then there's some here
http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=524...t&p=1386886

Edit : Oh yeah, the new app uses details from Advanscene's dat merged with the ini file for perfect naming and numbering, the only problem is is no updated details without Advanscene updating their dat.

Uncompressed NDS files. I tried a variety of options but the latest attempt was with permanent rename, period as a separator and include country code.

Why not include a copy of the game database with the application and/or have it automatically update on first run?

V0.1 Released!
==========
+ Added ability to rename inside and outside of archives.
+ Added ability to repack files in .zip/.7z/.nds format when renaming.
+ Added about me window.

The renaming of archives inside and out only works when selecting the rename only function. You'll notice a new box in the renaming options. Selecting "Don't repack" makes the program run as it always has.

    One thing that just occurred to me.... The sound on the 2600 sucked less back then the harsh sound we hear now is from infinitely better speakers we have now, back when the 2600 was new speakers produced a almost muffled sound, like CRTs made old graphics look slightly better.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    I wonder if I could recommend that to some emulation devs that perhaps the sound could use some smoothing out to simulate those old TVs
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    I think a few of the early systems could benefit from that, at least up to the 8 bit generation, by the 16 bit generation I think TVs had gotten a lot better in almost every way
