Hacking EZ-Flash Omega cheats help

Hello, I am having issues with using cheats on the ez-flash.
I have downloaded everything correctly but my issue is when I boot the game with addons after selecting my cheats they don't work at all. I have also tried L R START to turn cheats on and nothing.

My issues are with Pokemon Emerald, Ruby and Fire Red.

Also if anyone could help me figure out how to add my own cheat codes onto the EZ flash that would be great! Any links or resources to help with this.

I can get over having to translate the cheats from chinese to english but the cheats not actually working is ridiculous. Other than that it's a great system to be fair.

1. Did you download the CHEAT Library and extract it to the root folder of SD? please ensure there is no CHEAT/CHEAT nested.
2. Did you enable the cheat option in the setting?
3. Did you launch the game by LAUNCH WITH ADDON?

Hate to necro but I too am having issues with cheats crashing on start so I was thinking start it with cheats off and then turn them on via joKer command but I get no where
