Hacking EZ-Flash II Powerstar 256Mb

ok Tempers. ive been sitting on this cart for a while and have been wondering if and what i should do with it.

Ideal Setup

NDS flashing Rom to flash GBA roms to it. (1 to 1 like a 3in1)
Or more preferably
Nds flashing rom that flashes the Gba Loader and a preset rom list

more realistically and a good tool to be desired

something like rudolphs tool to view and backup the gamesavs to slot 1


does anything like this exist? hell is there any info, updates or tools out there for this RTC enabled cart?

Does Rudolph's tool detect it as a EZF-2?

No firmware replacements are available, but I think you are referring to a "loader" replacement. Take a look here for different loaders that flash a GBA rom from a slot-1 to a slot-2 device LINK. You might like GBALdr. Or, maybe you just want to use "NDStation" to convert gba roms into .nds files, using a PC, and avoid all the procedures, and time taking, other loaders require. It's up to you.

I wouldn't recommend attempting to use it, if it even lets you try to flash roms.
Do you not have the adapter and the cables that are supposed to be used?

i do but a bit of a pain as there isnt a way to do it from anything but XP

There are no methods other than the EZClient program, some EZ1s could use littlewriter but other than that no. Best.... some might say 3.19 or whatever was the last pre commercial roms supporting DS version was (the last GBA issue to crop up was solved long before) was but frankly 3.26 should work fine. Mbmax already linked up the relevant program http://filetrip.net/f3290-EZClient-3-26.html

Afraid it XP (or 2000 or some windows server of similar vintage I guess) or go home. I have not tried using it under a rescue version of XP (bartpe or some of the stuff bundled with the likes of Hiren's boot CD) but there is the option of the virtual machine- http://gbatemp.net/topic/275407-using-virtualbox-to-manage-legacy-gba-flashcarts/ and XP can be made very small if you want it to be.

If you have not used it in a while the battery might be dead meaning you will need to solder a new one in (panasonic VL2020 or VL2025 was the original model I believe but any rechargeable battery with tags, that fits (hint http://www.batterystore.com/Charts/CoinCell.htm ) and of the Li-ion persuasion will do.

They are very nice little carts and if you were selling it and jimmyemunoz had not gone for it the next person would have had it off your hands (EZ4s are nice but tried and true GBA carts are very rare and highly sought after these days).

so basically the ezclient is my only option.... 3.25 or 3.26...
i was using a virt pc program called "VirtualBox-4.1.10-76836-Win" and was successful just a bit of a hassle. any other suggestions for virt pc or is that one a good one? (my first exp with virt pc program running from desktop)

im surprized that noone has yet to say that they have the card and this is their setup lol oh well

btw what is ezf2 going for nowa days?
