Hi yes I'm new been reading the forums alot past week so please don't worry about stupid questions.
I've been looking at this flash cart already so I already know what to do and everything else.
This website:

says it takes mini sd 512mb~8b (8 gigabits) = 1gb but this says:

http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.11179 512mb~8gb

Can somebody please tell what's the limitation on memory before I buy it thanks

Note: My dash key doesn't work anymore.

I think it can read upto 8 GB miniSD's.
I have one myself, with a 1 GB miniSD, working great

With 1 GB you'll have enough, I can't get it full of good GBA roms

The EZ-IV is reportedly excellent with GBA gaming and alright for DS gaming, while the slot-2 Supercards are the opposite, being excellent for DS gaming and lackluster for GBA gaming.

I can only attest to the Supercard part though, as I've never used an EZ-IV myself.

The EZ IV really is freaking great. I haven't met a single GBA game that didn't run, except Medal of Honor infiltrator, but I'm asking that to FAST atm.
Haven't tried DS games, but thats why I have a M3Real + 4GB microSD

But really, a great, good looking card

Yeah I was thinking of the Supercard's capability issues not the ez flash 4 sorry.
Saw 4gb then I thought ok 1gb or 2gb suites me just well

Does it matter on the mini sd's card speed or not?

Not really, as the game is going to be copied into either fast RAM or NOR flash before being run anyway. The SD media is way too slow to run GBA games from directly. DS games on the other hand are different and do depend on card speed, but for the most part there are only a few DS games that choke with slower media (the main example being Castlevania Portrait of Ruin). I believe SD and miniSD can't really get fast enough to run those games anyway (microSD can get much faster) so don't worry about it, since you probably won't be able to run those few specific games no matter what miniSD card you get.

Thanks for the information, Mostly using it on my original GBA just so I won't keep
switching bwt carts. Also I wanna do some retro gaming on my GBA make useful it again

Last question does ez flash 4 accept 256mb (32MB) carts like golden sun 2?
Reason why I'm asking because I got golden sun 1 & 2.

Yes it does. I'm actually replaying those on my EZ FLASH IV atm.

While I'm sure the EZIV does support 32MB carts, Golden Sun: The Lost Age is only 16MB, and the first one is half of that.

Fire Emblem - The Sacred Stones works and that's a 32MB Gba-game.

Do you guys use MicroSD with MiniSD converters in the EZ Flash IV?
As I'm using EZ Flash IV Lite Deluxe I'm only able to use microSDs.

They can take upto 4GB regular miniSD's and not SDHC cards on a regular EZIV. You could also use a microSD with a miniSD adapter.
The deluxe EZIV only takes microSD's.
The limitation came from an old kernel but that has been fixed ages ago.
The EZIV has some built in NOR which you can flash games to and start them off straight away without loading them in PSRAM.
This is required for 32MB GBA games on the old EZIV because it only had 16MB PSRAM.
The deluxe fixed that though.
