Hacking EZ 3 in 1?

After flashing a ROM to NOR the ROM will still be on the slot1 (unless you deleted after flashing to the NOR). You are just "copying" the ROM to NOR, not "moving" it. So there would be no need to transfer it back to slot 1.

If you have the phat size 3n1, yes, once you have flashed a ROM to the NOR memory, you can take the 3n1 out of the DS, insert the 3n1 in a GBA/DS and play the rom as if it were an original cartridge.

Why not with the "lite" size 3in1? I mean, you copy a GBA ROM in the NOR memory thanks to a first NDS Lite, and then give the 3in1 to another NDS Lite without any slot 1 card; then the 2nd will or will not be able to play the GBA game?

Moreover, what about the save when playing a GBA game stored in NOR without slot 1 card? Where is it stored? Is there any risk of conflict when plugging back the slot 1 card?

You could transfer it to another NDS Lite and it would work fine, yes. You just wouldn't be able to plug it into a GBA, GBA SP, GBM, or any variant due to the size restrictions. That's what gratefulbuddy was talking about.

All right, that is what I thought. And then what about the save management when using the slot 2 card this way? And then back with the "mother" slot 1 card that could contain a former save?

If you use the PSRAM the save is stored on the slot-1 card, if you use the NOR the save is stored on the slot-2 card. Though I don't know if it will automatically back it up if you switch games - so be careful

i think this is right

the SRAM (save) for BOTH (psarm and NOR) is stored on both(slot-1 and in a sram of the ez-3in1)
if you have a GBA sized EZ 3 in 1 you load a game to NOR you can use it a a REAL GBA/SP/Micro

when you load your GBA game
the save is copied to the SRAM of the ez3-in1)

i using a cyclopsds
after you stop playing your GBA game and reload the cyclopsds
the Sram on the ez3-in1 is back-up the the cyclopsds (GBA_SAVE folder)
