Well then I don't have a calculator that shows hex, and I WILL need a calculator for this shit since being taught our maths on calculators only made me forget how to maths without one.

Also, HEX is just a counting system
00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A(10) 0B(11) 0C(12) 0D(13) 0E(14) 0F(15) ..... FA (250) FB (251) FC(252) FD (253) FE(254) FF(255)
So for example, 1A(26) + 1A(26) = 34(52)

But if you can't get a good grasp on hex, you might as well just stop.

I also have trouble with math sometimes. I've double checked my answers at least 3 times and I still get lots of them wrong. I don't use calculators at school. We have to do math with our brain, which fries my brain if I do something that is very boring for at least 1-2 hours straight. If we do use calculators, we get a detention. So hardcore, eh?

Any problem that keeps a DS game (including DSi enhanced, EXcluding DSi exclusive) from loading is AntiPiracy.
There is no possible way to crack DSi enhanced features for a non-DSi, and DSi enhanced games will never require DSi mode.



If you really want to continue... Learn how to make codes.
That's the first step to cracking AP.

The only things I recognize are DS Lazy (Don't have any fucking clue what it does. Tried opening the program, but don't understand what it's supposed to do just from looking at the buttons.), No$GBA, Ideas, R4CCE, and Desmume.

Not only is there more things than I understand, I'm afraid to start something, for I might break a game or a save backup.

If you really want to continue... Learn how to make codes.
That's the first step to cracking AP.

You need to calm down. It's not like it's the end of the world if you can't fix an Error. It takes time. If you don't know where to start, then you might have to wait for a Patch (though there's still a possibility of one being released). Or you could wait for a future Tutorial on how to fix ErrCodes.

...The basic cheat code making tutorial on there uses a program that's all in Japanese. I do not speak or read Japanese. Apparently neither does my computer, because it displays only squares instead of Japanese characters... Making it impossible for me to navigate whatever program was being used.

.....And question: It says they choose 8 bits because there's less than 255 gold..... They don't explain why it has to be 8 bits. Why can't it be 32 bits? 32 is much closer to 100 than 8!

And yes, I'm starting with that. I'm not interested in giving myself infinite money in Suikoden Tierkries or making me always get perfect on Rhythm Heaven or anything like that. Just interested in disabling AP. Errcode=-4 AP.

Because you don't need 32bits to make 100. 100 is 64 in hex, that's 1 bit, the remaining 7 is a mix of either the location or blank (00).


I and others have linked you to the tutorials... you just refuse to take the time to read.
You're not going to learn it in an hour.
You're not going to learn it in a day.
You probably wont learn it in a week.
But you're not going to learn it EVER if you don't start.

But seriously, just start reading what is available, start learning:
* ARM code
* Hex code
* NDS file system / rom system
* work with emulators
* work with debuggers
* Do some sample cheatcode and then make your own

If you have some spare time left, you can be up steam in a month or so.

I too want to learn how to do this stuff, as it would be great to help other DSTT owners and I know it wont take a minute to learn it all.

HEX is hard to understand, from what I've read and seen in examples.

And I believe if I continued to look around at worthwhile tutorials, I could begin to understand it.

I think that's what OP is trying to say, he looks around but none of them are worthwhile and basic for him to understand.

That's almost exactly what I'm saying. Except for the not worthwhile part. They say all this stuff in romhacking.net's tutorials, which I've found to be the easiest tutorials on the fricken internet that are about learning rom hacking (Because other tutorials don't try to make it tie in with rom hacking), but I don't understand half of the things said because they're not explained enough for me to understand WHY they're said.
